RPG Top: What is RPG?
Role-playing game - RPG - game of entertaining appointment, a kind of the drama action which participants operate within the limits of the roles chosen by them, being guided by character of the role and internal logic of the environment of action together create or follow already created plot. Actions of participants of game are considered successful or not according to the accepted rules. Players can freely improvise within the limits of the chosen rules, defining a direction and an outcome of game.
Thus, process of game represents modelling by group of people of this or that situation. Each of them behaves, as wants, playing for the character.
Action of role game occurs in the game world. The game world can look somehow, but it defines a game course. The plot offered by the master of game, and the world described by it makes a basis of role game. The world can be completely thought up, to be based on any work of art (the book, a film or the play).
